Thursday and Friday’s high winds and accompanying heavy surf kept the sailboats on the shore, but that didn’t keep the kids and their teachers and monitors from RocRoi from having a fantastic time. From long boards to boogie boards, from large rafts to longboats, the kids were kept entertained and educated in a safe yet exhilarating environment.
Toss in some sand castle building, bird watching, and crab collecting, and it was a most marvelous day. Hopefully next Friday will be calm enough for some sailing, but it certainly seemed like the kids didn’t mind the waves, as you’ll see.
This is all part of Richmond’s ongoing extra-curricular program, which includes swimming courses, ski lessons, and, of course, sailing – added perks of living in a region where it’s sea-to-ski in under two hours. The RocRoi sailing and adventure classes are on the beach just 10 minutes down the road from the school.
So check out the exhilaration on the faces of the kids, and know that they were having the time of their lives. Enjoy!
