The first thing I would like to say, is congratulations to all children for a fantastic drawing of a mosque that they all completed! This will help us with our learning in RE in the next few weeks, and I will upload some photos of them when they are mounted on the wall.
In Maths, both classes have been looking at shape. Year 4 have been looking at faces, edges and vertices. To help them with this, they made some 3D shapes and then organised them into a Venn diagram. They looked great!
We decided to look at non-chronological reports for a little longer and wrote some really good ones for our first time! The children now know the features a lot more and are beginning to write at a longer length. Year 3 found a great non-chronological report about the Vikings which they labelled and learnt a lot from which has extended their knowledge in topic! Year 3 managed to put their knowledge of Venn diagrams into practice in Science this week when learning about animal diets. They did really well organising this and proved that they learnt a lot in Maths!
Year 4 have also been looking at animal diets but we have talked about why animals each certain things by thinking about environment etc.
There are a lot of children with great spelling test results! Keep up the good scores to get stickers Year 3/4 and remember to do all pieces of homework to gain stamps on your homework chart!
