Year 3 Learns about a Balanced Diet Through… Pizza!

pizza-valerioOver the past few weeks the children from Year Three have been learning about how the body works and why it is important to have a healthy, balanced diet.

They have investigated the five different food groups and learned about the different effects these have on the body. To put this knowledge into practice, the children spent an afternoon creating pizzas!

This was extremely good fun and gave the children a chance to think about how they could make one of their favourite foods healthy. Have a look at the photos to see how fantastic (and healthy) their pizzas look!
