Modern Stone Age Builders in Year 3

Year 3 have been finding out about Stone Age builders. They looked at some of the famous stone circles that are found around Britain and we tried to imagine what it might have been like to build such incredible structures without modern technology. We then decided to try to find out!

The children brought in boxes instead of stones and they worked together to think about how to use them.  We used some boxes as standing stones and lintel stones, but we decided not to have a sacrificial stone!

You can find out more about Stonehenge by going on a virtual tour here:
Their work will continue with the children working together to research and build a shelter in the classroom that people living in the Stone Age may have used.
